Meet Davey

Davey Runnells Senior Associate

Davey has a background in public sector management consulting from Deloitte US LLP, and municipal and in the non-profit spheres with Americorp and Provo City. In these roles he built expertise in economic strategy, benefit-cost analysis, and data-driven urban planning. His advanced technical capabilities include GIS, predictive analytics, and Generative AI to support community growth and organizational efficiency.

In the federal sector, Davey managed high-stakes projects for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and U.S. Department of State. At the municipal level, Davey’s work included leading the Provo City Lab initiative where he directed project workflows and presented data-driven insights to neighborhood groups and the City Council, resulting in a successful annexation. He also performed economic viability and impact evaluations through benefit-cost analyses for local cultural initiatives, such as the Provo Rooftop Series. 
Earlier in his career, Davey demonstrated a talent for data management during his time with AmeriCorps, where he built an internal budget-tracking system to manage half a million dollars annually and synthesized critical management data for the organization's  leadership team. He also served as a Bicycle and Pedestrian Fellow for the City of Bloomington and spearheaded young professional outreach for state gubernatorial campaigns.
Davey’s educational journey laid a strong foundation for combining strategic communication with public policy and business fundamentals. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Business Management from Brigham Young University, followed by a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University – Bloomington.
